Joyner Library held its first Long Night Against Procrastination event on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 6-10 p.m. in the Gateway Sounds at the top of College Hill. The format of the Long Night is a “buckle down session” where students come to study, collaborate with other students in a study group, or work on midterm projects before leaving for spring break.
Joyner Library’s Teaching Resources Center held its 13th annual Librarian to Librarian Networking Summit on Saturday, Feb. 24. The one-day professional development opportunity featured 25 diverse roundtable discussions on current topics for practicing and pre-service K-12 school media coordinators. Facilitated by experts in the profession, these sessions encouraged attendees to bring resources to share.
Joyner Library is now displaying “North Carolina in the Great War,” a traveling exhibition on loan from the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The exhibition will be on display until March 25 in the Janice Hardison Faulkner Gallery on the library’s second floor
The TRC serves students enrolled in teacher education programs and educators in Eastern NC.
