Getting Ready for Graduation

Meet With Your Advisor

You are encouraged to consult with your academic advisor at least two semesters before graduation to review your degree requirements via DegreeWorks. This review will let you be confident that you know your degree requirements and are on your way to graduation. Remember: The final responsibility for meeting all academic requirements rests with you!

You may use the scheduler in Pirate Port to schedule a meeting with your academic advisor.

Apply to Graduate
You will apply to graduate in Banner Self Service. Before you apply, make sure your degree information (including any concentrations, minor, or certificates) is correct. You can view this information on the Student Information page in Banner Self Service. If there is an error, contact your academic advisor to have it corrected.

Please see the Office of the Registrar's graduation web page for deadlines and instructions on applying to graduate. Applications for graduation should be done one semester before completion of your degree. Apply for the term in which all degree requirements will be met. Students graduating in the summer may participate in the University Commencement and the College of Business Graduation Recognition Ceremony in the spring, but should choose the summer term on the application.
