The East Carolina University Foundation was established in 1963 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to fund the margin of excellence at ECU. Gifts to the ECU Foundation benefit the students, faculty, academic programs, and research activities at ECU, and they make a significant difference in the quality and impact of our university.
The East Carolina University Medical & Health Sciences Foundation Inc. was chartered in 1969 as the designated repository for all private and corporate philanthropic support for the Brody School of Medicine, College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Nursing, School of Dental Medicine, William E. Laupus Health Sciences Library, East Carolina Heart Institute, Leo Jenkins Cancer Center, and East Carolina Diabetes & Obesity Institute.
The East Carolina Alumni Association brings alumni and friends together, strengthening the common bond and sense of community among Pirates.
The East Carolina University Educational Foundation Inc., better known as the Pirate Club, is the backbone of financial support for ECU Athletics.
